Colossal Panko Fried Shrimp by Anna Tran
1 lbs Colossal Shrimp
1 box of Panko Bread Crumbs
1 package of tempura batter
1 tsp of salt
Oil for frying
Clean and devein shrimps leaving the tail intact. Butterfly and split your shrimps in half stopping at the tail. Pat dry and set aside. You’ll need 2 bowls. One for your wet batter and 1 for bread crumbs.
Mix the tempura batter and set aside. Next, put shrimp into the wet batter and coat evenly. Coat shrimp with Panko crumbs one by one making sure everything is even.
Turn your fire to medium high and fry your shrimps. Do not over crowd pot or they will stick together. Cooking times may vary depending on how big your shrimps are. When golden brown take them out and place on a plate with paper towels to drain excess oil.
You’ll be able to enjoy these delicious treats within a couple minutes. They are definitely a crowd pleaser and an amazing appetizer! Enjoy!
